Get a new win7 supported camera yes, am able to record current events with our canon or panasonic lumenix or smartphone, so no prob with that; still need to get that old stuff transferred, then retire that handycam!!! Got a quote from service that will do transfer to dvd or external hard drive that i provide along with firewire, for $15/tape; we have 25+ tapes! Cost to take this route around $500 including all expenses, we are thinking must be less expensive way to do; still looking for that key to solving this, but getting frustrated.anything???? Hey, my family had a Sony handicam as well and in order to do the transfer to dvd, we bought a dvd recorder with rca inputs and did a direct transfer to dvd using that. Basically, you connect the av to rca cable to your camera and the rca plugs into the dvd recorder. Put your digital8 or hi8 tapes into the handicam and play them while pressing record on the dvd recorder. My dad did this with a ton of tapes and now uses the dvd recorder to record shows and what not.

After the upgrade I noticed that the ALPS driver was no longer there and I had a Synaptics PS/2 driver with no gesture capability. See all 18 rows on driversdownloader.com. My laptop is running ALPS Touchpad driver 7.105.2015.1105 which is the latest driver for Windows 7 64 bit. I reverted to Windows 7 until I figure out what my options are. I upgraded it to Windows 10.
